STARLIGHT DISTILLERY RENDERS
Our client at Starlight had determined that they wanted to use readily available bottles that could be outsourced at a lower cost versus doing a completely custom bottle. We connected with Saverglass, a well-known bottle manufacturer, and they sent me the dimensions of the bottle that our client chose. I created the 3D model in Rhinoceros and developed rendered images with the new concepts. We then, added a Starlight logo embossed to the top edge of the glass to add a special element to delight the consumer.
START WITH THE 3D MODEL.
ADD MATERIALS AND TEXTURES.
After creating the 3D model, I import the native Rhino file into Keyshot and start adding materials and textures to bring the bottle to life. I start adjusting the light settings and ground plane to make the bottle look as realistic as possible. This process is the first step to getting a high-quality life-like render.
ADD GRAPHICS & ENVIRONMENTS
The next step is to add graphics to the bottles and create dynamic light sources to build a realistic environment. Our graphic designers provide me with the final label designs for all three product variants. Since these labels have spot metallic prints, I have to separate the elements in Illustrator and save each piece of artwork as separate materials. I then, added a light source behind the front bottle to make the bourbon liquid shine through the dark background. To make the image more dynamic, I added reflections to the ground plane and created a background ramp gradient. The final finishing touches are changing the camera angles and the arrangement of the products.
